This short course, provides a summary of the key concepts of the 2010 Equality Act that impact on schools/colleges and:
- introduces the protected characteristics identified in the Act – specifying those that apply to education
- reviews similarities to and differences from this Act and previous statutory disability and discrimination instruments
- considers changes to disability discrimination that apply to education
